Attention all rural nurses: thanks to generous sponsors, AgriSafe is now
extending their celebration of National Nurses Month (May) by offering a limited number of
full-scholarships to the Nurse Scholar program (a $500 value) through June 30, 2026.
AgriSafe's Nurse Scholar program recognizes the dedication of rural nurses and provides them
with the resources they need to further their education and enhance their skills.
This digital asynchronous program includes over 20 Continuing Nursing Education credits, and
the application deadline is June 30, 2026.

Eligible applicants include nurses that are currently employed in the U.S. by a rural nonprofit
clinic, organization, or hospital; critical access hospital; Federally Qualified Health Center
(FQHC); school; or educational institution.
"People living and working in rural, agricultural communities have a unique set of occupational
hazards and needs. The Nurse Scholar program is an opportunity that provides continuing
education to nurses who care for these populations," said Jessi Grote, DNP, RN, NPD-BC,
AgriSafe’s Professional Development Coordinator." AgriSafe is proud to offer scholarships to
cover the costs of the program to assist rural nurses in their professional development and in
providing patient-centered care."
