IAHC WELCOMES ITS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - EILEEN VESEY
A Chicagoan with roots in County Mayo, Eileen Vesey grew up immersed in the traditions the IAHC celebrates—summers in Ireland, time at Gaelic Park, and family volunteerism at the Center. She brings deep nonprofit leadership experience spanning organizational strategy, program development, community partnerships, and team building, most recently guiding regional workforce initiatives and collaborating with unions, employers, colleges, and nonprofits.
Earlier in her career, she led community programs at the YMCA, cultivating inclusive participation and volunteer engagement. An active IAHC member who regularly attends sessions and events, Eileen is dedicated to thoughtful growth, welcoming spaces, and honoring the Center’s mission for generations to come.
“The IAHC has always felt like home—it’s an honor to help sustain and grow this community for the next generation.”
We here at Irish American News wish her 100,000 Welcomes!
