There are several Irish language events and learning opportunities on the horizon, and a few more to save the dates for. The first few are just a couple of weeks away, so register as soon as you can the February 28th Chicago Irish Film Festival screening of Fidil Ghorm (Blue Fiddle, 2024), and University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee's Tionól Gaeilge Irish language weekend February 28 - March 2. Na Gaeil Chicago, along with Gaeilago on the South Side, is proud to sponsor the Chicago Irish Film Festival's screening of the new, feature-length Irish and English-language film Fidil Ghorm. The Celtic Junction Arts Center and Gael Linn present the annual weekend-long Irish language learning at the Celtic Junction. Save the dates August 11-15 for Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School. Every year, Tuesday to Thursday, there are multiple levels of Irish language classes and a class in sean-nós singing. The Na Gaeil Chicago family will be there in force. It's a great way to start your Irish Fest weekend.
