Despite the cold the Chicago Patriots Gaelic Football Club recently held their Annual General Meeting at Blarney Stone Pub in preparation for the upcoming year. The club is excited to build on last season's success when they won their first ever Chicago Intermediate title and were two points away from securing a North American title.
A new board was elected and will be overseeing many events throughout the year. Keep an eye out for the club at the downtown St. Patrick's Day Parade marching with our main sponsor Flood Bros. Disposal and with the Gaelic Park float at the South Side Irish Parade. Trips to Madison and Cleveland for pre-season exhibition matches are in the works as well as hosting Milwaukee for a match during Irish Fest at Gaelic Park over Memorial Day weekend.
Practices are held from March-September, Tuesdays @ Smith Park in Chicago at 6:30 pm and Thursdays @ Gaelic Park in Oak Forest at 6:30 P.M. All are welcome to come participate, watch, or just learn more about the club and what we're all about.
