What is Forever Green?
The Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago (YIFC) is a beacon of unity and philanthropy, especially during their standout event, Forever Green.
As the Chicago skyline transforms, so does the impact of the club's efforts, with funds raised contributing to various charitable initiatives.
Forever Green is more than just a celebration; it's a testament to the enduring spirit of unity, generosity, and the vibrant Irish legacy thriving in the heart of the Windy City.
People from all around Chicago come together for Irish music, Irish dance performances, grand raffle, silent auction, and friendship.
Annual sponsorship has helped carry on a tradition for 50 years!
The Young Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-driven organization that welcomes individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds to discover and engage with Irish culture.
We provide opportunities to forge new friendships within the community while actively contributing to the support of Chicagoland charities.
We operate as a completely volunteer-driven organization with minimal administrative expenses.
More than 90% of our funds are channeled directly to the charitable causes we support.
Annually, YIFC fundraises for two charitable partners through a two-year commitment.
Our Board of Directors casts their votes each year to select a new charity to support.
This year, YIFC is supporting Cara Collective and Pat Mac's Pack.
Cara Collective believes that there is an incredible and untapped talent pool in our country, one composed of people often experiencing homelessness and poverty. Our job is to unlock the strengths they already have and showcase them to the world. Through various programs including, education, encouragement, and access to resources, Cara Collective helps participants increase their employability, and employers advance toward equity and inclusion.
Pat Mac’s Pack is a nonprofit established in memory of Patrick McNamara, who battled brain tumors for 11 years and passed away at 13 in 2011. Honoring Patrick’s positive spirit, the organization funds pediatric brain tumor research at Lurie Children’s Hospital and provides financial assistance to families with children undergoing cancer treatment, including comfort bags for kids receiving radiation therapy.
