Twenty-four students had their service to the University College Dublin community recognized by this year’s President’s Awards.

The Awards are given to students who have excelled in non-academic activities of a kind that make UCD an exciting, interesting, dynamic, and humane place to live, study and work.

Recipients of President’s Awards are nominated by their peers.

Typically, winners are actively engaged in service to UCD societies, clubs, or the Students’ Union, or are involved in student support services or competitive activity in inter-varsity events.

Students were presented with the Awards by Professor Orla Feely, President of UCD.

Wedge Egan has played a crucial role in student politics, society events, and debating, managing successful initiatives across multiple student organizations.

His expertise in event planning and leadership has contributed significantly to the growth and success of student-led activities at UCD.

The Awards aim to recognize the efforts of students in extra-curricular areas of university life, celebrating the leadership, commitment and energy which help to turn UCD into a lively, engaged community.
