ANOTHER STRONG SEASON FOR IRISH WRITING

Four Irish writers made the long-list of the 2023 Booker Prize, breaking the record for the most Irish nominees in history.

This top literary award recognizes extraordinary fiction and the long-listed Irish novels are Sebastian Barry's Old God's Time, Elaine Feeney's How to Build a Boat, Paul Lynch's Prophet Song, and Paul Murray's The Bee Sting.

The shortlist for the £50,000 prize will be announced on 21 September, with the prize winner notified on 26 November.
