We received the sad news that Eamonn Vaughan passed away unexpectedly.

A pillar of the Irish community here in Chicago, Eamonn will surely be missed. We offer our condolences to his brother Kevin and the entire Vaughan family.

Eamonn Vaughan – Eamonn passed away peacefully on May 17 at the young age of 52.  Eamonn was a long-time resident of Park Ridge and native of Newmarket, Co. Cork, Ireland.  Devoted  father of Lauren and Grant;  formerly married to Liz Vaughan;  loving son of the late Bina and Dan Joe;  dear brother of Reidin (Pat) O’Leary, Maura (Jim) O’Flynn, Anne (Liam) Stewart, Danny, Kevin (Kristan), Diana (Donal) Byrne and the late Tim (Mary) and Michael (Debbie);  fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Eamonn was a long-time owner of Vaughan Hospitality Group and board member of the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago and graduate of the University of Hard Knocks.  Eamonn loved to travel in style, beaches, sun and sand.  He loved his dogs Lady and Teddie along with driving in his Benz convertible.  He was the life of the party, unofficial pub curator and best boss.  Eamonn lived life to the fullest and will be loved and missed by all.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Wednesday, prayers at 12:00 p.m. going to St. Paul of the Cross Church for Mass at 12:30 p.m.
