Ireland Go for Six Appeal Against US Eagles

Ireland A have included six full capped players in their side to play the USA in their opening pool game of the Barclays Churchill Cup in Kingston on Wednesday.

Coach Allen Clarke has picked a blend of youth and experience for the encounter.

Johnny O'Connor is part of a capped back row along side Neil Best and Roger Wilson.

The side includes Heineken Cup winners Denis Hurley and Tomás O'Leary as well as Magners League winner Jonathan Sexton.

Fresh from Ireland Sevens duty, Brian Tuohy makes up the back three alongside Hurley and Mark McCrea.

There is an all Munster look to the midfield with Keith Earls and Kirean Lewis completing the back line.

In the forwards, captain Bob Casey is partnered in the second row by Ryan Caldwell.

The front row comprises Leinster tyro Cian Healy alongside Denis Fogarty and Harlequins' Mike Ross.
