In support of St. Patrick Fathers and their missionary work serving at-risk communities across the globe, almost 330 supporters packed the house at the first annual “Fall into Fashion Show” held Nov. 5, 2017 Manzo’s Banquets in Des Plaines.

“It was a huge success and we are very grateful for all who attended and helped to sponsor the event,” said Father Michael “Mick” Madigan, who oversees fundraising for St, Patrick Fathers’ Chicago offices and is chaplain and board president for the Chicago Irish Immigrant Support.

The funds raised will go to The St. Patrick Fathers’ international, hands-on missions in twelve different countries in Africa, Brazil and the Caribbean. Inspired and motivated by Jesus Christ’s invitation to make God’s love known to all peoples, the organization works to build up the faith communities where we minister.

“Our concern is for everyone, but especially for those whose lives are emptied by poverty, disease, famine and those displaced by war and conflict,” said Fr. Madigan.

These projects vary according to the needs of the areas in which we work. But all of them are focused towards the building up and empowerment of the local communities. In remote regions such as in Sudan, Kenya, Zambia and Malawi they involve the building of agricultural cooperatives at the village level. This help to provide cohesion and security for the people and offset the migration of younger families to the bigger cities. We also put a lot of emphasis on literacy; and communal/personal development programs.
